I love SMEG products and have a few in my kitchen....Black is the chosen colour for my home although the other colours in the collection are very nice too....easy to clean, quick to boil, and satisfying to look at....Yes these products are quite pricey but I waited for the kettle to be in the sale at the Good Guys and got a very good deal thank you...

New design. looks great
This new unit is replacing older broken unit. The old units lid hinge broke and leaked from around spout. The new unit has changed the design of the hinge lid and attached a very visible red fill height indicator so you don't overfill also they have addressed the leaking spout by now siliconing the join. They appear to have addressed the faults over the old unit time will tell so far very happy with new unit
