We have only had the toaster for two weeks, we have been away for those two weeks and used it for the first time yesterday , it is on its highest setting barely toasts the bread we will have to take it back to the good guys and see if we can get a replacement that does work…it’s not a cheap toaster for sure and we would expect it to work properly …it’s hard to say if I would recommend this product , I’m hoping it’s just a one off that can be replaced with the quality SMEG is known for for…we have a lot of their products in our home but this is the first time one doesn’t work ,
